Tweedy Bird

March 8, 2017

Happy Wednesday and happy International Women’s Day!  I hope you get a chance today to tell a fellow lady how much you admire and appreciate her; I’ve shared a handful that inspire me on my IG story so be sure to go check it out before it disappears.  Fittingly, today’s post features an outfit I created around my new white tweed blazer that straight up makes me feel like a #bosslady.

So what’s the skinny on the white tweed blazer?

While this piece can definitely be dressed up for the office, I opted to take a casual approach with jeans and a boatneck tee. One of the reasons I gravitated towards this piece was the red and navy trim and pretty gold buttons.  The fit is true to size, I’m wearing the XS here.

At $40 this jacket is such a steal; when I first posted it on Instagram so many friends commented that they couldn’t believe it A. wasn’t designer and B. was under $50.  {Which let me say, same babes.}

Devil’s in the details:

I’m sans jewelry in these photos which seems SO odd but actually was kind of nice.  I cuffed my jeans and threw on my brand new buffalo plaid heels.  Last week, I became an adult and ordered my first pair of nude heels {I know, I know} so to celebrate the occasion I also snagged a couple of fun pairs too.  I did one last tie in of the red with my leather clutch from Vera Bradley.

Thank you to SheIn for partnering with me on this post.  As always all opinions shared are my own.
