Spring has spring in Louisville! I’m getting excited to start changing my wardrobe over to more warm weather options, but let’s talk staples. One piece that we all love is a good white tee. Always leaning on my mixed prints so I didn’t hesitate to pair this longer, plaid blazer with the leopard loafers I’ve had forever. This particular plaid has a subtle red stripe in it so I put on my favorite bold, red lipstick and a fun pair of sunglasses to tie it all together. While I love bold accessories, cognac handbags never go out of style. My Dooney & Bourke satchel can also be carried across the body making it a viable option for weekends.

We are definitely in Kentucky Derby season but one of the biggest events is Thunder over Louisville. It’s a great opportunity to grab food off a food truck and picnic on the river all day. Keeping things hands free is always a priority for me during Thunder so I’ll definitely be carrying my All in One Crossbody. This miniature red bag can be worn crossbody or carried as a wristlet. On top of that, it opens up to a full size wallet and fits the iPhone in the front flap pocket. As an added bonus, it’s a perfect match for my MAC lipstick and heart sunglasses.

Two Ways to Wear Your White Tee this Weekend | Where I’d Wear This Outfit
Like I mentioned at the beginning of this post, this look has been my unofficial uniform lately. I like that I can make it a little more put together but front tucking and adding a belt while still being comfortable. And while its the perfect option for sipping drinks on a blanket during Thunder, I also think it’ll be perfect when Chow Wagon starts at Waterfront. {Non-Louisville peeps, essentially all the carnival food you could ever dream of is set up for the week leading up to Derby!}
