I’ve said it before but white is too much fun to wear for me to give it up for the majority of the year. Plus, it’s not as heart racing to spill spaghetti, chili, etc. on other colors, right?! For me, wearing white after Labor Day and into fall is all about finding a balance. My advice? Pair white with other neutrals and you’ll feel seasonally appropriate.

How to Wear White After Labor Day | Cuff those Jeans!

I started doing this by rolling up my skinny jeans to create a cuffed and cropped look and pairing them with my new ankle boots.  The open sides and perforated body really sold me plus I love this moss green shade for fall. The peep toe makes this the perfect summer to fall shoe.

Wearing all white intimidates me regardless of the season, so this outfit was a bit of a risk; I was SO worried on the day of this shoot that I’d end up somehow getting my lipstick on my jeans or tank.   Overall, I’m glad I went for it though because I think this is such a fun early fall look.

How to Wear White After Labor Day | Pull Out Transitional Pieces.

To keep the white from being overwhelming, I wore a utility vest over the tank. This is one of the fall transition clothing items that I get a ton of wear out of this time of year. Throw it on over a tee shirt dress, with jeans and a blouse or even pair it with a skirt.

Instead of a long pendant, layering necklace, I went with a new neckerchief that I snagged from Vera Bradley. This fun print ties in the fall hues with the blues, olives, and a cute little orange fox.
