Wee – sorry for the lateness of this post; I wasn’t planning on sharing this colorful look today but…it needed to happen. I shared a sneak at this look earlier in the week on Instagram and everyone wanted to know ALL about my new watermelon purse. March is here and as we enter the second half of the month, I’m bringing back my Derby Days series. Today marks our first Derby post of 2017 and I’m styling a white lace dress that is perfect for spring. This little number from Chicwish has a white lace overlay and the cutest criss cross open back.
With Mardi Gras tomorrow, it felt right to have a fun and colorful post to start off the week. This seersucker tassel dress from Romwe was beyond fitting to break out last week while we were living through 70 degree days. Speaking of which, warm weather please come back ASAP. I didn’t even get to enjoy a smoothie before you left again.
Before we get into it, let me say that my indoor, nighttime camera skills still have a lot of work to be done, but sometimes you go out to dinner, miss the sunset and have to improvise. Guilty as charged, your Honor. Also note to self, don’t shoot in red room again. This post is going to be pretty short and sweet as a result.

When we decided on a white after Labor Day theme for this month’s blog hop, I knew I wanted to rock my white skinny jeans and this teal tank was my choice to go with it.
It’s pretty well known that I am terrified of needles, but if I were to ever get past that fear, “I have so much to do that I’m going to bed” would probably be a candidate for a face tat. I am all about the naps & knew I had to have this mug after I saw it on Twitter.

As much as I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures and being able to pull out my fall clothes, I despise winter and the idea that it’s getting closer. So for the time being, I’m happily wearing all of my summer clothes and trying not to think about the fact that it’s regularly 100 degrees inside my car when I get in after work.
