It’s no secret that I have a thing for gingham; I blame it on being a summer baby and gingham being the unofficial print of summer fashion. So it came as no surprise that I fell in love with this green gingham top after seeing it in Charming Charlie. Making it to Thursday calls for a colorful celebration, right? I’ve got you covered. As soon as I saw this gingham skirt at the Bluegrass Outlets, I knew I had to bring it home with me. The blue and white gingham screams ‘4th of July,’ but is also perfect for fall tailgates for the Wildcats!
While I wouldn’t describe my style as basic, there are some classic pieces that I love. This white lace top falls right into that category as the styling options range from casual to fancy with this number.
While it would be easy to be sad that Derby weekend is over to me it means that summer is here. It only makes sense to start breaking out the summer outfits. This palm print summer top is off the shoulder, lightweight and perfect to pair with white jeans.
There is so much goodness in this post — seriously, this is my first LuLaRoe Lola and I was shocked by how much I love this style! Let’s start with perhaps the most obvious thing. I cut my hair! Friday night, my hair kind of tucked itself into my sweatshirt and after taking about twenty selfies, I texted my friend Michelle fully expecting her to talk me out of it — which she didn’t.
My original plan was to schedule an appointment for this week but I woke up Saturday morning and started chopping off my split ends and got a little carried away. Big ups to Mama Green for not completely losing her mind when I popped up and said, “hey can you even out my hair cut?”
