Why You Need to Experience Your Own Blogging Journey

July 31, 2017

Last week, I tweeted out a hot take that’s been on my mind for awhile.  “New bloggers, please stop sending messages to bloggers you don’t know expecting them to consult with you for free. It’s taken a lot of trial and error to get to this point on my own, you need to experience that journey too.”  I expected to immediately see some backlash, but everyone’s responses were in agreement.  Your business and blogging journey should be unique to you!

Just Throw it in the Bag: Trendlee Chloé Tote Review

July 24, 2017

There comes a time when you’ll choose to purchase investment pieces.  For me, I always do a ton of research beforehand.  Factors that help me decide on these purchases are: quality, versatility, and functionality as well as price.  Recently, I test drove a bag from Trendlee, a designer handbag resell service & today I have a Chloé tote review on the Chloé Alison East West Tote.

Anthony Vince Spa Review + Dip Nails: the Good, Bad & Ugly

July 6, 2017

While I don’t consider myself super high maintenance one of my favorite ways to treat myself is a mani pedi.  A couple weeks ago I headed to the Anthony Vince Spa location in Springhurst Towne Center for some much needed me time.

Most of you know, but I used to work retail which meant I was constantly on my feet and used my hands a lot.  Typically, I would get a pedicure every month and get a manicure then to clean up my cuticles.  Since I’m not in retail anymore, I hadn’t been to get my nails done since December!  Keep reading for more about Anthony Vince Spa, my thoughts on dip powder nails, plus the products I use to keep up with my nails between spa visits.

Friday Favorites: Flying into the Holiday Weekend | Louisville Blogger

June 30, 2017

Happy Friday & holiday weekend friends!  I get a lot of questions about What Nicole Wore looks like behind the scenes so I’m starting a Friday Five series.  I’m hoping to bring one of these posts to the blog every other Friday.  Each post will include roundups in different categories that may change such as: reads, eats, buys, laughs, etc.  Hopefully this helps you to feel a little more connected to what I’m up to!

Kentucky blogger, What Nicole Wore, shares the highlight of her week including a stop to Louisville Cream.

Holiday Weekend | Five Random Favorites:

  • Super Sour Fruit Gushers.  Hello, my name is Nicole and I have an addiction to sour candy.  Seriously, I will eat sour candy until my tongue is raw; I love it that much.  If you’re anything like me, run to your nearest Sam’s Club because they have the jumbo box of SUPER Sour Fruit Gushers and they’re amazing.
  • Tif was in town yesterday so I picked her up for lunch at Troll Pub Under the Bridge and then “forced” her to go to Louisville Cream with me. {Highly suggest following them on the ‘Gram if you like food photos!}  She completely surprised me by letting me choose her ice cream for her because she’s a picky eater.  Speculoos Cookie Butter ice cream, for the win!
  • The S’well Bottle.  True life: I hate water.  I’m horrible about keeping up with my water intake and after a couple days of headaches, whipped out my S’well.  I don’t know why it makes staying on top of hydration so much easier for me, but it really does.  Plus how cool is it that you can leave the bottle in your car all day and the water’s still cold?! {Not sponsored, just seriously in lust with my S’well bottle & how cute is this palm print bottle?!}
  • Basketball twitter reacting to trades.  I use Twitter solely to keep up with pop culture and all of the basketball jokes.  While NBA twitter usually gets kind of slow after the Finals, it was on fire this week between the NBA Awards {Nicki Minaj’s performance was horrendous} and the Jimmy Butler and Chris Paul trades.  Favorite moment?  Jimmy Butler giving out his phone number so that his haters could call him because #same.
  • Miss Spa Face Masks.  I bought a variety of these during a sale at Target and am in LOVE.  I first tried the Oxygenating Bubble Mask and then used the Detox Mask this week.  The Bubble Mask gets super bubbly but had great results on my skin the follow morning; Detox helped calm down my hormonal skin #Blessed.  All the masks are under $5 and BONUS: on sale right now {Buy 3, Get 1 Free!}
