I’ve been on the hunt for a pair of jean shorts for awhile now.  These chambray shorts remind me of the classic gym shorts but are appropriate for running errands or casual patio drinks with friends for summer.  Big fan of the elastic, drawstring waist and the chambray is incredibly soft making these a comfortable fit.  I’m wearing size small here.

Please Do Better: An Open Letter About Inclusion

Today’s post is a little different; I’m talking about inclusion, because I think it’s something many people don’t even consider.  I came out of the womb with the same racial classification of less than 3% of the United States.  I’ve spent my entire life feeling underrepresented: in the books I’d like to read, in movies, commercials, advertisements, and TV shows — the list goes on.  While inclusion and diversity are something that are talked about so much more these days; there’s honestly a long way to go.  I wanted to share a little bit about what it’s like being an underrepresented person with the hope that it helps someone out there to be more aware and inclusive.

How to Impact Young Women: Being Active as a Sorority Alumna

Why You Need to Experience Your Own Blogging Journey

Last week, I tweeted out a hot take that’s been on my mind for awhile.  “New bloggers, please stop sending messages to bloggers you don’t know expecting them to consult with you for free. It’s taken a lot of trial and error to get to this point on my own, you need to experience that journey too.”  I expected to immediately see some backlash, but everyone’s responses were in agreement.  Your business and blogging journey should be unique to you!
