Friday Five: A Week of Internet Drama + What’s on My Shopping List

January 29, 2021

January is (allegedly) 31 days long but it always feels like 31 days + a year. We’re really closing out the month though and with TONS of internet drama to keep us entertained. This week was kind of a beast for me; I’ve felt emotionally on edge, a bit overwhelmed, and am looking forward to the weekend. Hope you’re getting lots of rest this weekend too!

Get in the Holiday Spirit & Throw an Ornament Painting Party

November 11, 2019

Question of the day: when do you start decorating for Christmas?  I’ve always been an after Thanksgiving person, but last week I threw an ornament painting party and now I want to put up my tree!  Crafting has always been something I enjoy, but in full honesty I haven’t done a ton of it the past few years.  Last month, my friend Emily invited Lindsay and I over for a girls’ craft night & it was so fun that I wanted to have another one!

5 Ways to Protect Your Mental Health

May 15, 2019

With May being Mental Health Awareness month, I wanted to share a few things you can do to protect your mental health.  While these are things we should do every single day, it’s a good time to think about what we can do better for our own mental health.  Plus, I’m sharing a spring work wear look that’s perfect for the office.

If you’re new around here I try to be very open because I think it’s important to end the stigma around talking about mental health.  Six years ago, I was first diagnosed with anxiety and depression & being able to get mental healthcare has made me a better person.

How to Wear Silk Paperbag Pants & Covert Racism

May 6, 2019

Just like that, we’re post-Derby and back with a spring outfit that’s perfect for Casual Fridays at the office.  These silk paperboy pants were one of the items I snagged during my J. Crew shopping event last month.  Printed pants are so fun for work and this jungle-themed pair is incredible comfortable too.  You’ve likely noticed that I haven’t written as many lifestyle and personal posts during the lead up to Derby so we’re jumping right into that as well today.
