Polka Dot Off the Shoulder Dress

August 31, 2016

As much as I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures and being able to pull out my fall clothes, I despise winter and the idea that it’s getting closer.  So for the time being, I’m happily wearing all of my summer clothes and trying not to think about the fact that it’s regularly 100 degrees inside my car when I get in after work.

This dress from SheIn is super lightweight and the breezy fit is a huge bonus since it won’t stick to you like crazy in the heat.  It has a tie waist and also a tie for the shoulders that I opted to remove because I wasn’t a fan of them flopping around.  It still fits wonderfully with the elastic, tapered waist that is super flattering.  I was super happy when this dress arrived and I saw that it was lined with sheer sleeves.  The ruffle at the hem and wrists make the dress feminine and flirty.
I kept things simple and paired mine with a bandana that I styled as a choker; I’m loving that the bandana trend is back and will be really sad when it’s over.  If you’re not sure about the trend be sure to check out one of your local craft stores; I snagged mine for ~50 cents with a coupon from Hobby Lobby. I probably should grab a navy one for fall, but I love the way the red pops for summer.  Pro tip: make sure the first knot in your bandana is a little loose to avoid getting sweaty and/or feeling like you’re choker is actually choking you.
