Holiday Style with Radley London

November 24, 2016

Happy Thanksgiving! Every year I have all the intentions of getting dressed up and then at the last minute end up in a comfy look, but I wanted to share this pretty holiday look with you all today. While I’m not a big fan of the cold, I am a huge fan of all the fun novelty items that come out this time of year!  One of my favorite new additions this season has been my leather bag from Radley London, a British accessories company that features a fun Scottie dog as their logo.  It’s no secret that I’m terrier obsessed so picking out an item from their holiday collection was pretty tough.

Black Friday: J. Crew Factory

November 24, 2016

Happy, happy Thanksgiving! In between stuffing my face today, I like to stop and snag some of the early Black Friday deals.  I hate the idea of going out to shop in the crowds {#retaillife} which means I have to get ahead of things so that there’s time for everything to ship to me and then ship out to my loved ones. Phew.  Luckily, the early shopping usually means that I get some great deals too.

J. Crew Factory is one of my favorite places to shop for myself and for others this time of year.  They always roll out some great options for all the holiday dressing you may need to do whether it be casually working shades of red, green, blue and gold into your work wardrobe or a new dress for a cocktail party.  This is usually the best weekend to shop because you can snag some great stocking stuffers — like the black and white plaid scarf with pom poms – for a beyond reasonable price.

With it just starting to cool off in Kentucky, I’m hoping to fill a few different holes in my closet this weekend.  I’m in desperate need of some new long sleeved tees; I love 3/4 sleeve and tend to avoid the layering tees that come in handy this time of year.  I also wouldn’t be mad about buying a new coat.  Most of mine are from when I was in undergrad at UK and aside from being old, also are big since I’ve lost weight since then.

What are you hoping to pick up this weekend?

Gift Guide: Beauty Gifts Under $50

November 22, 2016

We’re two days away from Thanksgiving which means the holiday shopping season is almost here!  {Pretty sure I’m still scarred from last year.}  I like to start shopping now so that I can order online, ship it to myself, wrap it and then ship it out to my various family and friends.  While lots of people wait until Black Friday or Cyber Monday to shop, I like to get my orders in before things start selling out and take advantage of the pre-Black Friday sales.

Today, I’m sharing some of my favorite under $50 beauty items; I’ve included a pretty good variety of price points so some of these can be stocking stuffers or be put into a basket of goodies while others are just really great deals!  I’ll talk about some of them below, but simply click the item in the collage to shop.

Gray Lace Up Sweater

November 20, 2016

Lace up tops have been all the rage this year and I seriously love the embellished look they give a simple cozy sweater.  This gray sweater is vertically ribbed along the hem which makes it slimming {and awesome for hiding a food baby!}
