Naked Reloaded New Easy Eyeshadow with Urban Decay

March 4, 2019

I’ve made no secret about it; I love Urban Decay.  The OG Naked palette was the first “expensive” makeup I purchased with my own money.  Everyone’s favorite eyeshadow palette was my go to for girls nights, first dates, etc.  When Urban Decay announced they’d be discontinuing the original Naked palette, I felt some type of way.  Luckily they’re launching Naked Reloaded as a new addition to the Naked makeup family.

Naked Reloaded New Easy Eyeshadow with Urban Decay | What’s in the Palette

Like other Naked palettes, Naked Reloaded features 12 shades.  Urban Decay redesigned the palette so four shades are in larger pans so that you have more of those key colors you use the most frequently.  As always, the palette features a large mirror making it an ideal palette for travel (or doing the whole squad’s makeup for a night on the town.)

Naked Reloaded New Easy Eyeshadow with Urban Decay | What Should I Pair It With?

I’ve tried A LOT of beauty products and there’s not an eyeshadow primer I swear by like the Original Primer Potion.  Put this over your lids before any eyeshadow to prevent creasing and keep your eye look all day and night.  When I posted about this a few days ago, a reader pointed out that it always holds up in the Southern humidity which is a real test.

Naked Reloaded New Easy Eyeshadow with Urban Decay | The Liners

While I usually go for a liquid liner to create a sharp wing, the 24/7 glide on pencils are what brought me back to traditional eyeliner pencils.  I’ve mentioned them before but they feel like butter when applied, are easy to sharpen, and come in a huge variety of colors for different makeup looks. My very favorite neutral lip color is Urban Decay’s Vice lipstick in Backtalk; I even keep an extra on standby.  The shade is one that’s flattering on a wide range of skin tones too.

Naked Reloaded New Easy Eyeshadow with Urban Decay | How I Wore It

For a darker, more dramatic look, I used Bucked in my crease before packing the shades Dreamweaver and Distilled over my lid.  With a dense eyeshadow brush, I patted End Game into my outer corner before gently blending out the outer corner.  Finally, Angel Fire proved to be a great highlight along my brow bone and I blended some Barely Baked to the inner corner of my eye.

I found that the shadows in this neutral palette were easy to blend out, had good color payout, and worked on my skin tone.  Used with the eyeshadow primer, they held up throughout the day with no noticeable creasing.

Naked Reloaded New Easy Eyeshadow with Urban Decay | How I’d Wear It

This eyeshadow palette is one I know I’ll reach for as I enjoy neutrals for most of my day to day looks. Urban Decay switched things up, in my opinion, by adding some shades with larger glitters.  For me, this makes this palette one that’s easy to create nighttime looks with as well.  Very excited to use the shade, Retro, as corals are fun to use for spring makeup looks and work as a great transition shade on my skin tone.

I’ve owned a few UD palettes over the years- it is crazy though that I’ve never had an actual Naked palette! I think you’ve convinced me that I need this one!
