Ice Cream Paint Job

April 3, 2017

Y’all I’m serving up the sweetest scoop today with this brand new ice cream sweatshirt.  As soon as I saw this I knew I had to have it because of the adorable pom pom detail used to make a whimsical and cute shirt.  I’ve mentioned it before but I love a good whimsical piece — as seen in this post featuring my brand new watermelon crossbody.  Keep reading for all the details, a promo code and a big announcement!

What’s the skinny on the ice cream sweatshirt?

Pom poms are such a hot fashion trend so turning them into ice cream scoops is both genius and incredibly cute.  I will warn you that this sweatshirt involves a tiny bit of assembly; the pom poms come in a little ziplock and have pins on the back.  I actually liked this because it means you can change the color order if you want.  I quickly fluffed up my poms and then they were super easy to pin on.  If navy’s not your thing no worries, you can also get the sweatshirt in white {on sale for $8!}, heather gray and also comes in two different tee shirts!  The black tee version has sequins {#yassss} and the white is also super cute.

Devil’s in the details.

Okay so let’s chat jewelry.  I have a Kendra Scott problem — admitting it is the first step, right?  Since the pieces can add up, I was really excited when Rocksbox reached out to me about partnering again.  Rocksbox mails me a box with three pieces of designer jewelry inside picked from the wish list I created by my stylist.  When I’m over them, I simply pack everything back up and put the prepaid label back on the reusable shipping envelope.  As soon as the tracking is activated, Rocksbox starts working on my next box of jewels. So cool right?  While there are some jewelry pieces that I wear ALL the time, this is a great way to test pieces out before making the final investment.

I was really excited about the Kensey Ring Set that I’m wearing; they’re adjustable which I prefer over a sized ring.  You can stack them or wear them on different fingers like I did for a coordinated look.  I’m also wearing a pair of gold druzy studs that I’m not the biggest fan of.  I love druzy {maybe a little too much} but these earrings were severely underwhelming.  The druzy doesn’t look anything like the photo and really doesn’t even look like druzy.  Luckily, I can just pack them right up and send them back when I’m done with my other pieces.  If you’re interested in trying Rocksbox you can get a free trial month by signing up with the code WHATNICOLEWOREXOXO.  {You will have to put a card on file in case you decide to keep any pieces from your box, but can cancel your subscription at any time — including at the end of the trial month!}
