How I Style It: Channeling a Disney Princess

October 5, 2016

It’s here, it’s here. We’re kicking off October on the blog with How I Style It and this month the ladies and I are all sharing looks inspired by Disney princesses in honor of Halloween!  I’m admittedly not much of a Disney person, but decided to break out this suede dress and channel my inner Pocahontas.

I wanted to break up some of the camel so I pulled out one of my plaid flannels and tied it at the waist.  When I think about Pocahontas, I think about her brown dress, fringe and small pops of turquoise.  To make the look more chic, I paired the shirtdress with an ankle boot with fun lace up detail as well as this small mini satchel that has zebra calf hair on the front.  Such a fun bag + it has a crossbody strap.  The inside of this bag has the cutest little zebras on the fabric — seriously so adorable.

I kept my details really neutral: a black choker, a mixed metal set of bangles, a black druzy statement ring and my brand new oversized tortoise sunglasses.  I first tried these sunglasses when I had my DITTO subscription and ended up buying a dupe for them that is really cute but not quite it.  I finally ended up caving when I found a great deal on them.

Be sure to check out everyone else’s Disney inspired looks:
