Here & Now: the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale

Happy Saturday!  Hope everyone is surviving the Nordstrom Sale madness.  I actually placed my first order {EVER} yesterday; normally I can’t get behind buying sweaters in July.  If you’re wondering, it’s been a steady 90+ degrees in Kentucky lately with humidity meaning I’m constantly hiding inside with the air conditioning all the way up.  When shopping for myself, I scoped the sale for items that could be worn here & now and figured some of you may be in the exact same boat.

Here & Now | What’s the Skinny?

One of the best things about these pieces is the instant gratification.  I did snag some pieces that I’ll have to wait to wear but mainly set my sights on pieces that I could wear in the here & now and then transition into fall.  Living in Louisville means I’ve become a pro at layering for the occasion.  While I love all of the off the shoulder pieces pictured above, the velvet, off the shoulder blouse is $45 and the color makes it easy to pair now with shorts as well as later in the season with distressed black jeans or moto leggings.

I’ve been loving pleated skirts this year; remember this post and this post?  This dark gray one is the perfect piece to take you from work to play this summer.  Throw it on with your favorite blazer and blouse for the office and then chuck your blazer or cardigan to the side for happy hour.
