Oaks Day is the day before the Derby and everyone is encouraged to wear pink! Breast cancer survivors are honored and a portion of proceeds from the day goes towards breast cancer research and awareness charities. Knowing this, I picked a blush dress that would be perfect for Oaks Day and brunch with friends.

I’m all about wedges for comfort reasons and these off white Michael Kors wedges surprisingly fit the bill despite the height. The off white is perfect for the blush, corals, and pinks that we love for Oaks day outfits too. It’s always important to me to have shoes that have an ankle strap for days on the track as it would be the worst time to accidentally kick off a sandal.

This dress is a little outside of my usual as I don’t typically reach for midi or handkerchief cut dresses but I love the 3D look of the flowers appliqués! While this dress is a strong Oaks day contender, its also a great option to wear as a wedding guest outfit. And as is my trend, I love that the bodice is fitted and the skirt has a flare with its layers.
