Friday Favorites: a Fresh & Local Lunch at Vinaigrette Salads

December 15, 2017

I can’t get over how quickly this week flew by {or how tired I felt the whole week, hmm}. I’m definitely trying to get used to the changing seasons and much cooler temperatures; I hung around home as much as humanly possible. This weekend I’m hoping to take advantage of some warmer weather on Saturday {51 degrees!} and wrap up my Christmas shopping.

Yesterday, Vinaigrette Salad Kitchen treated me to lunch! I got to chat with Ryann & Zac while we each enjoyed some lemonade and a yummy lunch. I ordered half of the Classic Chicken Salad with blueberry vinaigrette and a cup of the white chicken chili – SO good. {Seriously, peep that chili below. Perfect for the below freezing temps.}

  • I finished fall quarter, hallelujah. I’m taking the rest of the weekend to breathe and not think about school.
  • I got some love from our Louisville newspaper, the Courier Journal, as well as Danielle from Lou What Wear and the fellas at Clayton & Crume! You can check it out here.
  • My little baby cousin turned TWO. It seriously feels like she was JUST being born; how do kids grow up so fast?!
  • I got a few awesome PR packages; I’ll be sharing one from Sugarfix by Baublebar and another from OPI at some point today on Instagram Stories.

Friday Favorites: a Fresh & Local Lunch at Vinaigrette Salads | Products of the Week

  • My Kendra Scott Elisa necklace | I know, I know, I wear this bad boy all day, every day.
  • Peppermint Oil | I started diffusing this one this week and have really enjoyed it.  {Just out here trying to find my zen, y’all!}
  • Lisi Lerch Firecracker earrings in black | I wore these to lunch yesterday; they’re super cute and not too heavy either.
  • Bioré Charcoal Bar | Bioré sent me a cute ‘naughty or nice’ PR box with a few of these lumps of coal.  I slept in my makeup over the weekend {y’all I know} and as a result had an angry zit pop up.  I tried out the bar to see how well it would zap the oil and was really happy with the results.  Pro tip: be careful not to get any of this in your eye; the peppermint will make you question if you’re going blind.  Also, if you have dry skin — this isn’t for you, but if you’re oily, it will help! {PS. You can buy it here at Target or here from Amazon.}
  • CND Vinylux Weekly Polish | Ugh, I hate being the bearer of bad news but this polish got a big, fat no from me.  It started chipping the first day and came off completely after three days. Going back to my tried and true OPI Infinite Shine for the time being.
