Valentine’s Day is less than a week away, which means it’s time to invite over your favorite ladies for a Galentine’s Day get together. There are so many cute was to decorate for a Valentine’s themed party with your closest girlfriends, but one of my personal favorites is dressing up a bar cart for the occasion! When I went shopping at my local Gordmans, I had no idea that I’d be picking up a new bar cart; mostly because I assumed it would be WAY out of my budget. These striped paper straws are super cute with the red, glitter heart on each one. I like to use a small pitcher to display them on my bar cart. And because I knew I wanted to have a fully stocked bar cart that was ready for Valentine’s Day, I picked up a cute little heart banner; it wouldn’t be hard to make one if you’d rather go that route!

How to Decorate a Bar Cart for Galentine’s Day | Top Down
I started at the top and worked my way down when it came to filling in my new bar cart. If you’re in need of new glasses of any kind; be sure to check out Gordmans! They had tons of options; since I already had some I didn’t bring any home with me. I put these stemless champagne flutes out as well as some mason jars so that all of my girlfriends can choose the drink of their choice. I like having the champagne flutes for mimosas and the mason jars are great for serving everything from ice water to mixed drinks to soda.

Pro tip: if you want to make your bar cart pretty for display, use small boxes to add height under certain items. The middle section of my bar cart holds some of my favorite items; make sure to include soda for mixers. You’ll see I used cans here, but bottled soda is fun to include as well. Another option is to use small bowls for snacks. I grabbed a set of 3 bowls for less than $10 at Gordmans. They’re perfect for holding red, pink, and white candies or snacks that are popular with your gal pals! I plan to put out popcorn, chocolates, and a bowl of red and pink candies.
