Last Saturday was my birthday so we headed out to sushi at one of my favorite spots in Louisville: Kobe. {Okay technically it’s in southern Indiana.} Overall it was a really great and chill day which was just what I wanted.

I got my August BoxyCharm box in the mail which features the Party Animal palette from Laura Lee’s line. Honestly, I don’t really see myself reaching for this palette all that often which is disappointing but I will say that the packaging is very pretty. Love that the shade names are done in holographic text.

Yesterday, like I mentioned, I headed to Lexington to help celebrate Cos Bar’s 42nd birthday. They were so busy doing facials with the RéVive products and makeup courtesy of the lovely makeup artists in store and from Laura Mercier.

I snagged some new beauty and skincare items that I’m excited to try out including the Jo Malone perfume that I love love love. {I’m almost out of the sample I have of this so it was a good excuse to pull the trigger and get a bottle.} Also worth noting — Cos Bar has a really great rewards program; I worked with them last year and happened to write a website review of a product that I tried. I was shocked when they told me I had a $20 reward! If you live near a Cos Bar, definitely worth signing up for as points are easy to rack up.
