Y’all, what a week! I started a new job, tried to get back onto EST {still not there #hatemyself}, forgot about the sorority meeting I was advising {#hatemyself part 2}, and froze my tail off taking these pictures. Being such a crazy week, actual blogging got a little left behind, but I’m super excited about some of the things coming soon to What Nicole Wore!

I wanted to wear something super festive to kick off Valentine’s Day, so I grabbed my trusty sequin tee from J. Crew Factory, another awesome thrift find, and pulled it over my favorite red plaid button down. 
I wanted to play around with texture and pattern so I paired my skirt with these grid print tights that I grabbed on super clearance from Old Navy {only 1.97} , my riding boots and my favorite watch. Lack of sleep led me to reach towards my statement sunglasses.

How was your Super Bowl weekend? As many times as I’ve tried, I’m just not a football kind of girl {which is pretty much a crime around these parts but whatever}. I did catch the Warriors-Thunder game which was just as insane as it was billed and managed to eat alllllll the snacks during the Puppy Bowl so overall, I’d call this weekend a success.
I’m wearing another ColourPop liquid lipstick because they are everythinggggg. Their colors are super pigmented and look different on just about every skin tone, but I love wearing Beeper for those Kylie Jenner vibes. Speaking of which, I missed snagging a lip kit again on Friday – ugh. One day, I’ll get there I swear. 
I’m still majorly crushing on this color from OPI’s newest collection; their polish names are always so entertaining to me and so it’s no surprise that this New Orleans themed collection really nails it (pun intended). I love red nails, but only had one “go to” bottle, so I ordered this one and love the red creme.
My nude lace ups seemed like the perfect shoes to complete this look; I love the way these neutrals come together especially with the gold tassel necklace. 
I got home Wednesday and am still struggling with getting used to the time change; who knew a three hour difference would lead to jet lag? I’m also getting used to the cold #wompwomp While I was taking these pictures it was flurrying, but I stayed strong and stuck things out (and then went inside, drank tea and took a nap.)
Guys, these are the boots. Remember my story about wearing my Hunters in the snow/living a life filled with regret? I ended up borrowing my mom’s snow boots during the last big snow storm when I did some shoveling and quickly realized that hello I needed a pair to survive winter. {Which apparently is now going to be hella short? Thanks Punxsutawney Phil!} These are fleece lined { -praise hands emoji- }, keep my feet warm and are super cute so it’s pretty much a win-win-win.
I typically wear an 8.5, but sized up to a 9 in these after reading reviews and find that they fit comfortably. 
I’m loving these ColourPop Ultra Matte Liquid Lipsticks – they’re super easy to apply, dry quickly and extremely pigmented. I just ordered a couple different colors as well as a full size of Beeper and am so in love with the new colors they released yesterday as part of their collaboration with Karrueche Tran. The best part is that they’re just $6!
I picked up these socks a couple weeks ago; they’re still on sale for less than $10, super thick and help with keeping my feet warm. I grabbed the blue since I thought they’d go the best with my wardrobe but they also come in marled black and red. All three colors feature metallic threading around the toes and heels. 
I’m definitely leaning towards girly cuts and colors with Valentine’s Day around the corner, but paired my red sweater with a navy and white striped puffer vest plus my white floral necklace from a couple seasons ago. I love the way that the white roses really standout against the red.

I’ve told you guys before how much I hate winter; my opinion hasn’t changed, but I will say that snow is at least pretty.
It’s also hella cold, so yes this was the first snow of the season and yes I’m already one hundred percent over all things winter, below freezing, snow covered, etc.
While taking these pictures, I realized that I desperately need to pick up some Hunter socks since regular socks just aren’t warm enough with the snow.
I thought this navy and teal flannel was perfect to go with my light pink coat with the small pink stripe that’s in the plaid. To stay warm, I pulled layered my favorite cable knit sweater over the plaid.
I love the longer length and cape like collar of this coat from SheIn, the first thing that pulled me in about it was the gorgeous color. I’m not usually a huge pink person but love sporting brights and pastels during the cold, dark and dreary months.
