Burgundy Duster

November 14, 2016

I’m pretty pumped to be popping in on a Tuesday {I know, I know – unexpected, but hopefully in a good way} to share a look that features two new pieces to my closet that I’m crazy about.  This cream sleeveless turtleneck sweater is a DREAM and this pendant necklace as been on heavy rotation since I snagged it.

But let’s start at the top.  Dusters are back and better than ever.  Last year I loved my sleeveless one, but the sweater material meant that I was constantly trying to avoid snagging and getting caught on things.  This one has full sleeves, an easy drape and comes with a belt if you want to tie things up.  What really stuck out to me was the rich burgundy color that is so big this fall and meshes so well with all your favorite neutrals.  This piece is pretty lightweight which makes it perfect for the warmer than normal weather we’ve been having in Louisville lately.

I have to take a minute to swoon over this top; I wasn’t sure what to expect but loved the way it looked online and {major bonus} it reminded me of a Lou & Grey piece that sold out before I could make a final decision.  This sweater is much longer in the back making it perfect to wear over leggings or ponte pants and while the front is long enough for leggings it is short enough to healthily fall into the top category.  The arm holes are larger, but I was able to comfortably wear the XS with a cami underneath.  This top would look super cute over a simple long sleeve layering tee as well.

Thank you to Ali Express and SheIn for partnering with me on this post.  All opinions expressed are my own.

I am totally with you on the feelings about dusters. I avoided it, but now I love it! I love this one with the open front!
