The Brushstroke Plaid Skirt Your Closet Needs

August 5, 2015

I think the weather knew I’d started thinking about fall because all of the sudden BAM it is hot as hell. I’m trying not to be too bitter about it, but the excessive heat is a lot. Climbing into my car midday has been horrid.  I picked up this brushstroke plaid skirt recently and love how easy it is to style.

This outfit, however, is not horrid. I talked about this shirt a little in my last IG Roundup post; it’s SO comfortable and soft and under $9 — buy one so we can be twins.

This skirt is a new addition to my closet; I couldn’t resist the fun print and the two long pockets! I love a good a-line skirt because it hides my hippiness and has a flirty vibe to it.

The grid or windowpane print has been huge lately and I can’t help but eye some of these fun numbers! This button down would be so fun with a black pencil skirt for the office or dressed down with ripped skinny jeans and a cute pair of booties; this midi length skirt, is under $18 and, would look gorgeous with a bright colored top and a funky pearl necklace; my love for shift dresses knows no bounds (someone that’s a medium – pair this one with fun tights and a leather jacket this fall!); and if you’re not a medium this shift dress option is also hella cute.
Hope to see you back in this space on Friday — I’ll be sharing some of my fall wardrobe staples!
