Behind the scenes I’ve been working a lot to diversify content. I’ve gotten comfortable with devoting less time to Instagram and focusing on growing on other platforms. This was a change that made me really nervous when I first started to think about it, but has paid off for me personally. Seeing progress has been fulfilling and allowed me to connect with new people.
This month I really tried to change up my content by sharing more real life thoughts in my posts. The response has been awesome; I’ve really enjoyed starting that dialogue with y’all as readers. One of my goals for September is to keep talking about topics that start a conversation. I have a list of topics I want to dig into, but would love to hear what you all as readers want to discuss too!

I’ve had my Pinterest since before I had a blog. When I first started blogging I rarely pinned my blog posts – mostly because I still was hiding my blog from any and everyone that knew me in real life. Last year, I made the switch to regularly pinning my blog content and earlier this year I decided to pay for an automatic scheduler.
I mentioned a few weeks back that we had family from California visit + so it only feels right to share some of my favorite things to do in Louisville!
Never been to Louisville? Kentucky’s largest city sits right on the Ohio River, was named the best city to start a road trip from, features a wide variety of eclectic restaurants, and overall is just a cool place. Best known as the home of the Kentucky Derby and the heart of the Bourbon Trail, Louisville has a wide variety of places that fit a wide variety of interests.
I spent the weekend with some of my younger sorority sisters for their recruitment weekend. As always, it was wonderful to connect with them and to hear what’s in their hearts as they prepare to welcome new members to our sisterhood. While it was refreshing and inspiring, it also got me to think about what I was like at 18 so I wanted to share some of the great pieces of advice to my 18 year old self.
