Girl Where Have You Been & Sephora Sale Splurge | Life Lately

What a ride. I’ve been very fortunate in my relatively short life to have a strong immune system and very, very few health problems but April just knocked me on my butt.  The month started with a sore throat that I immediately chalked up to allergies.  After a few days of no relief, I finally headed to the doctor who gave me a strep test and prescription for an antibiotic.  I’d never had strep before but expected the virus to get knocked out in about 72 hours.  Six days in, I had an allergic reaction to my antibiotic.  A quick trip to the doctor confirmed that I did have strep throat, but also had picked up mono.

I really didn’t know much about mono before last week, but can say that the depleted energy is a tough cookie.  Taking four or five naps a day shouldn’t be physically possible and yet, I’ve been overachieving in the department for three weeks now.  I’m feeling VERY lucky that I’m recovering and feeling better and definitely won’t be taking my good health for granted in the future, phew.
