Happy Friday! Summer seems like it’s flying by and I could not believe I hadn’t broken out this dress yet. It’s currently on sale and available in two color combos. If you know me you’re shocked because I didn’t pick the all blue version – baby steps.

My Tiffany’s bracelet is an old present from my dad that I rarely wear, mostly because I’m terrified of losing it. In all the craziness that is my costume jewelry collection, this piece is one that I treasure and hope to one day pass down to a daughter of my own.

That is the inside of my dress not my undies. Just to be clear. Ok. Let’s continue.

I love trying new beauty products but am also super cheap so I was pretty pumped when I got a Benefit trial kit as my gift with purchase last week. I haven’t gotten a chance to try out all the goodies inside (a cult favorite mascara + a friend’s favorite primer), but I am loving with the two new products I’m wearing in these photos.

I’m pretty basic in my day to day makeup. I stick to my tried and true routine: powder foundation that has SPF, stays on my skin and is lightweight, a brushed + sculpted brow, blush, a quick spray of setting spray and a coat of mascara. If I’m feeling fancy and have extra time, I might break out one of my two eye shadow palettes or add a little eye liner, but usually my makeup is kind of understated (and maybe boring.)

I’ve never used a highlighter before so I was relieved when Pinterest and YouTube informed me that this one is super easy to apply, just little dabs and then blend.

I rarely wear lipstick or gloss, or anything of that general nature, because they dry out my lips which is gross, duh. Vaseline at night is my old as dirt solution to keeping my lips hydrated and I’m always hesitant about putting anything new on them. But, since the sample was a lip tint instead of a stick or gloss I figured it wouldn’t hurt to try and I loved it! You can build as little or as much color as you want and I found my light application felt and looked very natural. This color is described as a “radiant orchid” and looks super bright in the tube so I wondered if I’d look like a clown, but found this was a color I’d probably purchase.

Also, the story behind what led Benefit to make lip tints is QUITE interesting (and a little NSFW.)

Still debating on whether or not to keep this beautiful druzy pendant from Rocksbox — each month you get $10 in credit to use towards pieces you love and this may have to be one of them. If you want to try out my favorite (and only) subscription box, you can use code “whatnicoleworexoxo” at check out to get one month free of charge.

Anyways….I can’t decide if this necklace is calling my name or just whispering it. #JewelryHoarderProblems

Hope you have a great weekend with lots of fun plans! 🙂

PS. I’m in DC this week/weekend for some less than fun reasons so if I don’t immediately respond to your comment (or an email), please don’t take it personally and know that I’ll get back to you as soon as I can!

Disclaimer: I’ve been compensated by Rocksbox in the form of two 3 month subscriptions; all opinions about the service are my own.
